Human Lipoprotein Extract
Technopath's Human Lipoprotein Extract (HLPX) is a concentrated human lipid solution that has been precipitated from high quality human plasma. The material is manufactured using proprietary processing techniques that have been developed by our team of experts.
Initially the material was developed, and used internally, as a spiking solution to adjust LDL, HDL, Total Cholesterol and Triglycerides in the manufacture of our QC and EQA products. Over time however, a significant portion of our customers have converted to our material for their own applications and in many cases to replace animal source lipoprotein concentrates that had previously been used.
This material is suitable for use in the manufacture of In-vitro diagnostic products: controls, calibrators, reagents and standards. Together with that the product can be used in the manufacture of EQA specimens and PT samples. Also recommended for Research and Development applications.
Please note, this material is not suitable for use in the manufacture of injectable or transfusable products.

Product Description
Technopath's Human Lipoprotein Extract (HLPX) is provided 0.22 micron filtered and is derived from high quality human plasma. The typical minimum Total Cholesterol concentration is 20.7 mmol/L (~800 mg/dL) with a ratio of Triglycerides to Total Cholesterol of between 30-50%. Both LDL and HDL are present in physiological ratios.
Preservative additions are optional. The re-certification interval for this product is 2 years from date of manufacture.
The product is shipped on dry-ice and, to ensure optimal performance, should be stored at -20°C or colder upon delivery.
