Off-Clot Human Serum
Technopath's Off-Clot Human serum is intended for use in clinical diagnostics applications. This product is the closest material to a patient sample available in the market and undergoes minimal processing to ensure this.
Off-clot human serum is normal human serum that has been collected as a whole blood donation. The collected materials are not treated with anti-coagulant. The whole blood donation is then allowed to clot naturally, centrifuged and the supernatant is poured off the clot, while the clot and red cells are discarded. This supernatant is what is referred to as off-clot serum.
Suitable for use in the manufacture of In-vitro diagnostic products: controls, calibrators, as well as in the production of EQA specimens and PT samples. Also recommended for Research and Development applications.
Please note, this product is not suitable for use in the manufacture of injectable or transfusable products.
